Xinhua News Agent has been authorized recently to publicize the Several Opinions on Promoting Stable Development of Agriculture and Sustainable Salary Increase for the Peasants from the State Council 2009.

The document clearly points out that the intellectual protection in agriculture shall be strengthened.

It is the eleventh No.1 document whose subject is on the matters concerned the agriculture, the country and the peasants since China adopted reform and openness policy. The document points out that the emphasis of the agriculture work in 2009 is to increase the income, stabilize the foundation, focus on civilian’s life, strengthen science and technology assistance, increase the investment, optimize the industry structure, enhance innovation, guarantee food safety and the providence of the main agriculture products, increase the peasants’ income to the utmost efforts.

The documents claim that the material support and service system for the modern agriculture shall be strengthened and agriculture technology innovation shall be accelerated. Increase agriculture science investment, finance in multi-channel, establish agriculture innovation fund and especially contribute to the research in the key fields, important products and core technology. Enhance the agriculture intellectual property protection. Assist the leading enterprises to undertake national science and technology project. Complete modern agriculture system.
