After the software legitimatization work finished in 1500 large-scales enterprises in 2007, 7600 enterprises have been engrained in the target of realizing total software legitimatization this year. These years, the software legitimatization work has achieved great success in the enterprises owned by the state, large scaled private owned enterprises in different fields such as finance, coal mine, printing and hotel. Presently, the headquarters enterprises owned by the states and 43 large-scaled insurance companies have basically realized software legitimatization.
Software legitimatization has great significance on intellectual rights protection, technology innovation, safe operation for the enterprises and production stimulation and reflects Chinese government resolution to protect the intellectual property rights.
It is said that in 2008, the patent administration continued carrying out the treatment on the illegal pre-setting computers brought the rate of the software legitimatization up to 85%. Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangsu has achieved a great success in the work of software legitimatization which own 4021 enterprises in total completing the software legitimatization work accounting for 66% in the whole nation. This year, software legitimatization work will be started in new fields especially the bank, insurance company, foreign investment company and foreign trade company and be expanded step by step.
